Here at advantageSPRING we are really looking forward to our special event next week in partnership with Helix Property, Guardian Women in Leadership, Hays Worldwide and UN Women. On November the 11th we are delighted to be taking sharing the stage with Harriet Minter from the Guardian and Robert Potter from Hays to be exploring a three pronged approach to tackling the gender pay gap.
Taking a slightly different approach to the majority of events looking at this issue, we will be advocating that the only way to address the persistence of the pay gap is to look at the issue from societal, corporate and individual levels. This needs to be a 3-D approach with none of the dimensions in isolation being sufficient to truly make a difference. We will be providing delegates with insight, tools and tips to not only challenge the attitudes of wider society and employers but also to challenge themselves. UN Women will be closing the event, reminding us that the pay gap isn’t just a problem for women in industrialised nations…it matters for everyone all over the world.
