An evening on the Wharf…and a trip up North

Last week our founder and Managing Director Natalie Reynolds had the pleasure of speaking to a diverse mix of men and women at two fantastic events. First up was the Morgan Stanley ‘Women in Operations’ event in partnership with We Are the City. The session was in celebration of International Women’s Day and was attended by over 70 men and women last Wednesday evening in the Morgan Stanley offices in Canary Wharf. Natalie spoke about the importance of being aware of and challenging the stereotypes about women as negotiators as well as sharing some tips to come out on top in a number of different negotiation scenarios including negotiating salary and dealing with difficult or aggressive counterparties.

The following day Natalie headed up to Liverpool to speak at the Northern Power Women conference, a brand new event aimed at stimulating economic growth and harnessing the power of women in the north of England. As a proud Northerner (the accompanying photo seems to fabulously sum this up!) Natalie was homoured to take to the stage in front of over 100 women for her workshop session exploring whether negotiation is a man’s game. After the session, there was a queue of women waiting to sign up and know more…rest assured our team is busily adding you all to the mailing list and will be in touch! The main thrust of Natalie’s presentation in Liverpool was that we need to recognise and embrace our opportunities to negotiate and we sincerely hope that those who attended the event have taken away some simple tips to put into practice and to start to see a difference.

We would like to remind all delegates who saw us at events last week to remember that you or your organisations are entitled to discounts on our in-house workshops and open programmes throughout 2015. Just make sure you detail the event you saw us at when you e-mail us.
