On the morning of the 28th of February, advantageSPRING CEO Natalie Reynolds delivered a keynote speech to a packed auditorium at Bloomberg’s European HQ in London. The topic of her speech and masterclass was the psychology of negotiation with a particular slant on both new research on unconscious bias and the negotiation challenges and opportunities presented by Brexit and subsequent global trade deals.
There were over 150 people in attendance from the worlds of commerce, politics and the media and Natalie led them through a lively (and at times interactive!) exploration of the latest negotiation research, common negotiation mistakes and the tools and strategies utilised by the world’s best negotiators. Drawing on a mix of psychology, behavioural economics, operational best practice and advanced negotiation tactics throughout to illustrate her message, Natalie ended the session with an assessment as to what is required for the UK to successfully navigate negotiations…both for Brexit and beyond.
Feedback on social media immediately after the session was highly enthusiastic and full of praise for Reynolds’ style and insight. Comments posted on Twitter included ‘Brilliant workshop on #NEGOTIATION today at the #Bloomberg Lndn office! So insightful and fun!’, ‘One of the best talks I’ve been to in a very long time! Thanks #Bloomberg’ and ‘Great talk today! I hope No.10 follow your advice!’
